Mystery Coupe: 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Berlinetta
Here in the UK there is a saying that you’re not a true petrolhead until you’ve owned an Alfa Romeo. Well unfortunately we must admit we have never owned one, but the one here on offer on Pistonheads out of Belgium might just temp us. It is slightly expensive at £12,750 as it needs restoring and the identity of the coachbuilder who added the steel roof is unknown. But, once restored, this could be a nice little headturner.

Autobahnstormer: 1972 Opel GT Targa V8
Update 27/7: The Opel sold with the buy-it-now for £6,750.
We like cars that have tasteful modifications. This Opel GT will definitely not appeal to the purists out there. Not only has it had an engine swap but also the big wheels transform the car completely. The new engine is a reconditioned Rover 3.5-liter V8 and fits nicely. The original cars came with a 1100 or 1900cc engine.

Little gem: Lloyd LP-600 Alexander
Update 29/7: The little one sold for €4,133 with 15 bids.
Lovely little Lloyd LP-600 for sale in Dachau, Germany. Made by Lloyd Motoren Werke, under the Borgward umbrella, 176,524 of these rolled out of the premises between 1955 and 1961 when Borgward went bust. They were not cheap at the time but came with loads of luxuries that were only found in full-size cars.

Veedub killer: 1968 Dodge A100 Camper 5.2 V8
Update 27/7: No bids at all on the camper.
This 1968 Dodge A100 Camper conversion seems in very good nick. On countless occasions we have overtaken snail-paced older VW campervans on our way to the beach but with an engine swap like this Chrysler 5.2-liter V8 that might be a thing of the past.

Me, me, me! 1984 AC 3000ME
Update 27/7: The AC sold for £6,400, a little under our estimate, we must admit. People are probably a bit put off by the blistering on the car.
We have always liked the mid-engined AC 3000. The car was originally designed as the “Diablo” in 1972 and then manufacturer AC bought the production rights. Equipped with a tuned Ford Essex V6 from South Africa, only 106 of these glassfibre cars were finally made.
