Cool dude: 1969 Triumph 2000 Mk1 Estate
Update 12/8: The car seems to have sold. Well done!
What a car to make something special out of! We have had our eyes on this one for a couple of weeks now. This car is a very cool 1969 Triumph Mark 1 Estate. They are very rare and this one only earlier this year changed hands for the very first time after having some welding done to it. What’s even sweeter is the price the seller is willing to accept, £800!
Whether you want to make it back into show condition or whether you want to “modernise” it a bit, this car is the ideal basis to start from. A nice pair of wheels will change the car completely, and we would try and keep the roofrack as shown on the first set of pictures. Ideally the car needs a respray, but since it’s had an MOT in April, why not wait until it needs welding and then go for a new coat?
The engine is a 2-liter 6 cylinder as also used in the Standard Vanguard and was quite nippy in its days. We’re not sure if the mileage, displayed as 64,000 miles is correct, but we could be tempted to drop something more modern into it. The car is for sale here on RetroRides.
