Investment opportunity: 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL
We like homologation series. Especially these lightweight BMW Coupés. These cars when they originally came out were more expensive then a 911 2.7 RS, its direct competitor. The Porsche is now well over £100k+ even though more of them were made. In our books that spells out “value”, even though these Bimmers are quite expensive to maintain.
Only 500 of these cars were made in RHD and this is car #281 in silver, our favourite CSL colour. A second-owner car, bought six months from new. Then two new front wings put on, resprayed and put away in storage. All history filed and with the car. Not bad.
The engine bay might need a bit of cleaning up, and the selling agent advises to replace the Klebers on the car. With a bit of work this can be turned into a show winner. A new 3-series or this one for the same price …, we know which one to choose!

I bought this car a real beauty, it now resides down under!
