Project: 1967 OSI Ford 20M TS
In Belgium is this very rare 1967 OSI for sale, based on the Ford Taunus and developed by the Karmann Ghia designer Sartorelli . Ford needed a more upmarket car and commissioned OSI to come up with a design that would rival the Opel, Alfa and Fiat coupés of those days. The car was slightly wider and longer than the original Taunus.
This car is by no means complete. It looks like it has been resprayed a while back. It is missing the engine and the gearbox. It should come with a 2-liter or 2.3-liter 90bhp V6, although this was a bit of a letdown when it originally came out. The mechanical parts like engine, running gear etc were all taken from the Ford Taunus. The interior is more or less complete but the dash is missing some of the dials. It can be found here out of Limburg.
Only 2,200 of these OSI coupés were made before OSI went bust in 1968. It is arguably one of the prettiest old Fords made and looks like a brother/sister to the Fiat Dino Coupe and we can even see some Aston Martin and some old Ferrari lines in it.
