welcome !

Classic cars are our passion. Driving our classic cars is an even bigger passion. But the internet is our addiction ... Just as we can drive for hours, we can surf the internet for hours on end. Always trying to find that special car for sale in some obscure little corner.

Racer: 1982 Fiat 131 Mirafiori “Integrale”

Update 16/9:  The Fiat didn’t make reserve. The car has been relisted. Links updated.

Fiat 131 Abarths command big prices these days. Also the Racing and Sport versions are now quite difficult to get hold of. So what do you do if you really really want a Fiat 131 racer? You buy the first 131 you can get your hands on and start with some modifying …

This 131 started life as a 1982 Mirafiori with a 1600cc engine. It was gutted, repainted, a rollbar was added and then a Lancia Delta Integrale Turbo engine was transplanted and mated onto a Fiat Croma Turbo gearbox. It delivers 190bhp and must go like stink.

The interior is pretty plain as you can see and comes with red OMP bucket seats. We like the original Fiat Abarth steering wheel.

The engine needed some modifying to fit. It comes with a new sump, has a stronger fuel pump fitted and an oil cooler hidden in the front wings, of all places. Brakes have been converted to Uno Turbo spec.

We must admit that we prefer the earlier rear light 131s. The ATS wheels are quite nice but we’re not sure if we would keep them. We would get rid of some of the decals and work out the Jagermeister theme a bit more thoroughly. On the bootlid are provisions for a rear wing/spoiler but it won’t even come near the car if we have it our way. It is listed on German ebay out of Eggstatt.
