For sale in the North of France, close to Calais, is this stylish Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider by Touring. It’s a Series 102 and seems to have been laid up in a barn for quite a few years. It is in need of a full restoration. It will also need a bonnet and an engine. We have no idea what other parts could be missing.

We can already see this car on a nice set of wire wheels cruising in the South of France. Or anywhere else for that matter. Only about 3400 were made. The engine should be a 2-liter 4-cylinder but why not fit it with something bigger like a 6-cylinder as in the later 2600 Spider. Or why not something a bit more radical like a V6 conversion maybe?

We have seen these Spiders for sale for amounts around the €40k mark. It will come down to your negotiation skills to secure the car for a fair price. We hope the seller is a bit realistic, but seeing that the car is on a trailer might already mean there is a third party selling the car. The ad can be found here on anciennes.net.
