Funky: Porsche Speedster replica
It must be some dreamhouse you’re building when, after a four month wait, your car finally arrives in a container from the US of A and you kinda lost interest. Especially when the car is such an outrageously good looking Porsche Speedster. This car has just made it across the pond and is now up for sale.
Yes, sure it is a replica, and yes of course, those wheels might not be the number one choice for many people, but it is such a striking colour combo and the attention to detail is so out of this world, it is destined to be one of our favourite Speedster replicas for a long time to come. It was made by vintagespeedsters.com.
The engine is a twin-turboed 2.2-liter block that is putting out about 280bhp. It certainly doesn’t look like most Porsche engine bays, but we, for one, definitely wouldn’t mind that.
The interior though is absolutely perfect. We wouldn’t change a single thing. The KISS marketing principle certainly found it’s way into this pretty cockpit. It is kept simple and as such looks spot on. The Nardi steering wheel just about gets away with it.
The car is for sale on the Die Deutschen Klassiker forum. The car was sold in the US for about US$35000 and the seller is willing to let it go for GBP18000. More pics to drool over, here.
