Only 2200 of these cars were originally built and in the last couple of months this is the second one that has come up for sale. In France this time, and a one-owner car. We spotted it on anciennes.net here for €21500.

Update 23/9: The car is a unique body made on a Fiat 508c Balilla basis. It was made in 1953. Thank you to Nik on alfabb.com.
Here at Classic Car Hunter, we are astonished sometimes with the amount of cars that Fiat used to produce. Or the amount of Fiat derivatives or etceterinis as they are called. Here is yet another different body based on the Fiat 508c or 1100.

In the early half of the last century, parts of South America were very prosperous thanks to booming meat and wheat exports. There were lots of rich people and they liked their special cars. As a consequence, loads of pretty rare cars ended up in countries like Argentina and Uruguay.

Another pretty rare Alfa has come up for sale. It is advertised by a German company on an Italian website, but the car is actually in Japan. Seems like a trader who wants a piece of the pie for finding this little beast.

For sale in Italy are these 2 pretty unique Fiat 1100s. They are Giardinetta versions by the coachbuilder Viotti. It was quite a mission to find some information about these cars, but thanks to AlfaBB, a few readers sent in pictures and specification.

We really like the Alfa GTAm. It has a nice aggressive look. What started in 1965 with the Auto-Delta Giulia GTA, resulted in 1969 with the wider-bodied GTAm. The A standing for “allegerata” or lightweight and the M for “maggiorata” or bigger.

Only 502 examples were made of this little two-seater barchetta. And then two show up for sale around the same time. One red one for sale in Italy and one a bit more expensive, two-tone one in Lille, France. These were fiberglass bodies put on a Fiat 600 chassis. Autobianchi were one of the first companies to use full fiberglass bodies. People didn’t like it very much though.

Last week the head of the Pininfarina design studios tragically died in a motorbike accident. One of the studio’s most successful designs was the Fiat 124 Spider by Tom Tjaarda in 1968. For sale here we have found a pretty clean early example with the desirable chrome bumpers and flat bonnet.
